In 2002 I was hired as a freelance photographer for Courier Life, a chain of nine free weeklies
throughout Brooklyn. I got paid $7 per photograph that made it into the paper.
These photographs did not necessarily make the papers, but they transcend the genre into
a pure representation of the local.
